Supplies

Instructions:
For the Left Page:

  1. Use one sheet of blue summer words paper as the background. Ink the edges black and add one yellow mini brad to each corner. Cut a 2 3/4" wide strip of blue circles paper and ink the edges, then glue horizontally across the background paper, 2 1/2" from the bottom of the page. Use a black pen to add zig zag faux-stitching along the seams between the background paper and the blue circles paper piece.
  2. Mat a vertical photo on white cardstock, trim the mat to 1/16" and ink the edges. Mat again on aqua textured paper, trim the mat to 1/4" and ink the edges. Ink the edges of the “summertime” ribbon fragment and glue centered across the bottom of the photo. Punch a hole in each end of the ribbon fragment and add one yellow mini brad to each hole. Glue the photo 3/8" from the right edge and 1/2" from the bottom of the page.
  3. Cut out the yellow surfboard tag and ink the edges. Cut out and ink the edges of the “flip flops” and “water” printed tags and use a pastel blue mini brad to attach them to the tab on the surfboard tag at varying angles. Use a black pen to journal the name under the printed tags, then secure the tag in place with foam tape.
  4. Cover one square slide mount with aqua textured paper and ink the edges. Cut two 3" lengths of aqua Dolcino ribbon and one 3" length of aqua grosgrain ribbon and trim the tails of each at an angle. Tie the ribbons around the left edge of the covered slide mount with the grosgrain ribbon in the middle. Glue the slide mount centered on the blue circles paper strip, 5/8" from the left edge of the page. Punch a hole in each corner of the slide mount to add one yellow mini brad to each corner. Cut out the lemonade artwork tile and glue it centered in the slide mount window.

For the Right Page:

  1. Use the other sheet of blue summer words paper as the background. Ink the edges black and add one yellow mini brad to each corner. Mat a horizontal photo on white cardstock, trim the mat to 1/16" and ink the edges. Mat again on blue circles paper, trim the mat to 3/8" and ink the edges. Cut out the “fun!” ribbon fragment and glue it in the top left corner of the photo. Punch a 1/16" hole in each end of the fragment and add one yellow mini brad to each hole. Glue the matted photo centered 1/2" from the bottom of the page. Use a black pen to add zig zag faux-stitching along the top and bottom edges of the blue circles mat, overlapping the seam between the blue circles mat and background paper.
  2. Cut out the blue surfboard tag and ink the edges. Cut out and ink the edges of the “sunglasses” and “swimsuit” printed tags and use a pastel blue mini brad to attach them to the tab on the surfboard tag at varying angles. Use a black pen to journal the year under the printed tags, then secure the tag in place with foam tape.
  3. Cover one square slide mount with aqua textured paper and ink the edges. Cut two 3" lengths of aqua Dolcino ribbon and one 3" length of aqua grosgrain ribbon and trim the tails of each at an angle. Tie the ribbons around the right edge of the covered slide mount with the grosgrain ribbon in the middle. Glue the slide mount 3/4" from the right edge and 3/8" from the top edge of the page. Punch a hole in each corner of the slide mount and add one yellow mini brad to each corner. Cut out the “summer time!” artwork tile and glue it centered in the slide mount window.
