Wedding season is here, and scrapbookers know what that means: Lots of photos! Whether your creating your own wedding album, a gift album for a loved one or a keepsake page for the newlyweds in your life, this time of year is sure to produce plenty of photos and stories you’ll want to preserve.

LeNae layered a faux-distressed paper from Vintage sarapapers™ under a themed Overlay™ to create a lush, stylish background for this wedding-themed layout. The printed Overlay™ makes a fabulous page border, with knotted lengths of grosgrain ribbon helping to hold the Overlay™ in place. LeNae used rich glimmer paper to mat the photos while heart-shaped clips, mini brads and more grosgrain ribbon embellish a collage of small photos and coordinating tags.

Supplies

Instructions:

  1. Use the burgundy words paper as the background. Lay the Overlay™ over the page with the printed “Marriage” border running down the right edge. Holding both the paper and overlay layers together, punch two 1/8” holes in the bottom right corner of the page, about 2 1/2” apart. Repeat in the top left corner of the page. Cut two 5” lengths of black grosgrain ribbon and tie a knot in the middle of each. Run the tails of one ribbon length through each of the holes in the corners of the page, positioning the knot centered between the holes on the front of the page. Secure the loose tails to the back of the page with clear adhesive tape.
  2. Mat a vertical photo on burgundy glimmer paper, trimming the mat to 1/8”. Mat again on black cardstock, trimming the mat to 1/16”. Glue the matted photo 3/4” from the bottom and 3/4” from the left edge of the page, then add one black mini brad to both the top left and bottom left corners of the photo.
  3. Mat a 2” square photo on black cardstock, trimming the mat to 1/8”. Cut out the burgundy with floral border tag and glue the right edge of the photo (about 3/4”) over the burgundy portion of the tag. Add an antique copper heart clip to the top of the tag and photo. Cut a 1/2” length of black grosgrain ribbon and trim the tails at an angle, then tie around the heart clip. Glue the tag and photo 1 1/2” from the bottom of the page, centered between the vertical photo and the printed Overlay™ border.
  4. Mat a 2 3/4”x4 1/8” photo on burgundy glimmer paper, then again on black cardstock, trimming each mat to 1/16”. Add one black mini brad to the top right and bottom right corners of the photo. Mat a 2 3/8”x2 5/8” photo on burgundy glimmer paper, then again on black cardstock, trimming each mat to 1/16”. Cut out the rounded burgundy floral tag and add an antique heart clip to the top of the tag. Cut a 2 1/2” length of black grosgrain ribbon and trim the tails at an angle. Fold the length in half and use a black mini brad to attach the folded end to the tab at the top of the tag. Cluster the two photos and the embellished tag in the top of the page, as shown, using a glue stick to secure the pieces in place.
