Holiday layouts aren’t limited to red and green! Using a light colored cardstock, you can easily create more unique holiday page designs, accenting them with traditional colors. LeNae used gold cardstock as her background and matted her photos with red and green to tie in the holiday tones.

For the left page:
- Cut a 2 1/2” x 8” strip of horizontal gold and ivory striped paper and glue it to the left side of the gold cardstock as shown. Mat the photo on red cardstock and trim to 1/8”. Mat on black and trim to 1/16”. Glue to the page slightly overlapping the gold and ivory striped paper.
- Cut out the “Christmas Cheer” border and glue across the bottom of the photo. Cut out the “Noel” alphabet tiles and use foam tape to add them vertically down the right side of the page. Cut four 3” lengths of gingham ribbon and tie a knot in the center of each. Trim the tails to 3/4” long and attach to the top of each letter with a Mini Glue Dot™. Use the black pen to journal names under the photo.
For the right page:
- Cut a 3 1/2” x 8” piece of red cardstock and glue to the right side of a second piece of gold cardstock. Cut a 2 1/2” x 8” piece of vertical gold and ivory striped paper and glue to the bottom of the page.
- Mat the photo on green cardstock and trim to 1/8”, then mat again on black cardstock and trim to 1/16”. Center on the top portion of the page. Cut out the “Christmas” border and glue centered over the seam of the gold and ivory striped paper. Cut out the “Warm Wishes” fragment and glue to the bottom of the photo, flush with the right edge. Cut out the stocking art, mat on black and add to the top left corner of the photo. Knot the center of a 3” piece of gingham ribbon and add to the top with a Mini Glue Dot™.
