The little ones grow up so fast—one minute they’re little tiny babies and the next you’re sending them off to school. With so many special moments in between, it’s key to document the milestones in your baby’s life, even if you didn’t get a photo of the event. LeNae created this simple and fun page to commemorate the first time Alex rolled over at the age of 5 months. To document this accomplishment, LeNae simply used two photos of Alex and journaled on a white rectangle. She mentioned how old Alex was when he rolled over, the process of him getting there and how he and his parents felt when he was finally able to roll over on his own.
LeNae used a red and blue/red plaid color blocked paper from Busy Scrapper’s Solution Boys: Baby & Toddler Papers to coordinate with the red and white hat Alex is wearing in the photos. She added alphabet tiles and accented with pieces of knotted ribbons between each tile for detail. Ribbon borders on both photos tie the whole page together.
Supplies:
Instructions:
- Wrap lengths of striped ribbon on the photos as shown, securing on the back with a Mini Glue Dot™. Cut out the “Picture Perfect” paper ribbon fragment and “5” tag and journal “months” on the tag using the black pen. Attach with foam tape to the ribbon as shown.
- Mat the photos on light blue solid paper, trimming to 1/16”, then again on white cardstock with a 1/8” border. Glue the photos to the red with plaid border paper as shown.
- Handwrite or computer journal in blue ink onto white cardstock. Cut into a long rectangle and mat on light blue solid paper, leaving a 1/16” border. Glue to the lower right corner of the page.
- Cut out the alphabet tiles and add, evenly spaced, along the ribbon border of the page using foam tape. Cut the remaining ribbons into 3” lengths and knot each in the center. Trim the tails to 3/4” long and use a Mini Glue Dot™ to add them between the letters on the page border. Add one on each side of the “5 Months” tag and one at the top of the journaling.
