Sometimes it’s a big task to go back and scrapbook all the wonderful memories of your baby. LeNae found a simpler way using the trendy Library Card Holders & Mini File Folders Template.

LeNae used the template to create three mini file folders that each told a memory about Alex. She arranged them along the bottom portion of the page, placing one in a mini pocket. It’s like the “files” of Alex’s life as a baby. LeNae journaled Alex’s age at each time the memory took place on the tab of the file folders.

LeNae shares her designer tip: “Using the Library Card Holders & Mini File Folders Template is a fun alternative to simply recording baby’s monthly development and growth on a page. Several cards can be placed in the folder and pulled out for easy reading. It makes a great interactive page!”

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Use the blue blocked paper as your background. Center and glue a 13” length of twill above the color blocked squares as shown. Secure 4 mini brads between the groups of words.
  2. Mat the photos with medium blue and dark blue cardstock, leaving 1/8” wide mats. Arrange the photos on the page as shown. Cut out the alphabet tiles spelling the baby’s name and punch a hole at the top of each. Thread 4” length of ribbon through the alphabet tiles and knot. Trim the tails to 5/8” long. Use a Mini Glue Dot™ to secure the letters to the edge of the photo as shown.
  3. Cut out the embossed paper charms and punch a hole at the top of each embossed tag. Thread each tag with a 4” length of thread and knot the ends. Use the remaining ribbon to make a shoestring bow with 1/2” loops and 3/4” tails. Use a Mini Glue Dot™ to secure the thread ends at the top of the photo and glue the bow over the ends. Glue the charm tags to the photo to secure.
  4. Trace the pocket template onto dark blue paper and cut out. Fold and secure to the page with Mini Glue Dots™. Computer journal and print onto medium blue paper. Trace around the journaling with the library card template and cut out. Use the pen to apply ink around the edge of the cards. Place some of the cards in the folder and glue 2 across the bottom of the page. Place the heart clip on the folder and the embossed charms on the cards and photo edge as shown.
