An Egg-stra Special Easter

Highlight key words in your journaling using chalk to draw attention to the important details.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Cut 31/2" squares out of pink spattered, green spattered and lavender spattered papers. Mat on gold. Line up centered on the left side of light blue spattered paper.
  2. Mat photo on gold; on green spattered paper and again mat on gold. Cut two 1/4 x 6" strips of spattered pink and spattered lavender papers. Mat on gold. Adhere to top left and bottom right corners of photo, at an angle and secure behind photo. Mat on white vellum and trim to 1/2". Outline with gold pen. Adhere centered to light blue spattered paper portion of layout.
  3. Journal on white paper, then mat on gold. Use chalk to highlight words for emphasis. Center and adhere under matted photo.
  4. Trace, cut out and fold three mini envelopes out of white vellum. Outline the top edges with a gold pen. Wrap with blue ribbon and adhere behind. Cut out embossed words, punch 1/16" hole in top, string gold thread through and tie. Adhere to top of ribbon on mini envelope front, using a glue dot and a shoe string bow to hold it in place.
  5. Punch oval shapes out of pink, green, and light blue spattered papers. Chalk edges, mat on gold and trim to 1/16". Tuck inside envelopes.

My Little Garden Angel

Add dimension and interest to a page by using the tag template to create a collage-style tag through layering and adding embossed charms.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Overlay white vellum over garden scattered flowers. Measure 7" from the right side of lavender sponged paper and tear. Adhere to right side of garden scattered flowers. Measure 3/4" from the left edge and tear. Glue to the left edge of the layout.
  2. Mat photo on white then on purple vellum. Mat on garden scattered flowers. Center toward top of lavender sponged portion of layout. Glue a 1/4" strip of garden scattered flowers to the right edge of the lavender sponged. Computer journal on white paper, then mat on purple vellum, trim to 1/8" and adhere centered under matted photo. Place mini buttons in each corner as shown.
  3. Using the tag template, trace tag onto the back of the blue, lavender and green sponged papers. Cut out. Mat on white. Tear blue, purple and green vellums and garden scattered flowers. Layer over coordinating colored tags. Trim to fit. Cut tags down to 2 and 3" in length. Place foam tape on back and adhere to white vellum.
  4. Trace smaller tags onto white. Cut out. Mat on green, yellow and blue papers. Cut out vellum flowers and center on tags. Adhere tags to larger tags using foam tape. Place buttons at the top of each tag. Cut out charms, and adhere to tags as shown.

Tulips

Use a mini envelope template as part of a decorative element in a collage sequence, outlining with a metallic pen for a dressed up look.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Trim pastel pink vellum to 8" wide. Measure 1 1/4" down from the top and cut out a 7 x 5 1/8" rectangle. Outline with silver pen. Mat photo on silver paper, mat on pink vellum. Outline with silver pen. Adhere pink vellum w/window to the right side of the tulip collage paper, fasten with mini silver brads in each corner. Center photo in window and adhere. Top with shoestring bow in the upper left corner.
  2. Trace and cut an envelope out of white vellum. Fold as directed and outline the edges with silver pen. Adhere to pink vellum as shown. Punch a rectangle out of an extra photo, mat on silver, trim to 1/16", then mat on purple vellum and trim to 1/4". Outline with silver pen. Place foam tape on back and adhere, overlapping envelope.
  3. Cut out charms and arrange across envelope and pink vellum as shown. Then cut out alphabet tiles and adhere to pink vellum as shown.
  4. Journal on tulip collage paper with a plum mist pen.
