Paper Pizazz® Fragments

scrapbooking idea

I love writing, so it’s no surprise that my favorite scrapbook page embellishments are words! These three new Fragment embellishments are right up my alley. “Fragments” are words or parts of phrases that can be used singly or together. For example, the Tape-Style Fragments pack contains single words like “art”, “imagine” and “nurture” plus phrases like “follow your bliss”, “remember this” and “wishes & dreams”. Each package has four sheets of cut-outs on heavyweight cardstock. They’re real 3-D embossed, too, for dimension. They’re all straight lines, so even though I’m cutting-challenged I can cut these out easily. Three styles available: Pewter & Copper, Brushed Gold & Silver and Tape-Style. They’re perfect for scrapbooks, cards, and I love them on altered books. Retail $4.99 each, you can get them at www.paperwishes.com.

Marvy Uchida Embossing Heat Tool

Stampers, here’s the ultimate embossing tool. It’s small (9” long) so it’s compact and easy to carry to classes and workshops—and it won’t take up a lot of space in your studio. It’s also durable, powerful and safe: A clear plastic shield covers the hot metal nozzle, and the stand means you don’t have to lay the tool down on your work surface. The cord is 77” long.

How to emboss? Stamp your image with embossing ink, then quickly sprinkle embossing powder on the wet ink. Tap excess ink onto scrap paper (and then back into the container) then turn the heat gun on and point the nozzle directly on the image. As the embossing powder melts, it will raise up and become three-dimensional. Heat tool is $24.95 and available through Paper Wishes.
