Starfish and Sandbucket

Page Instructions:

  1. Mat one photo on black with a 1⁄8" border. Triple-mat a second photo on red with a 1⁄32" border, then on yellow dots with a 1⁄4" border and black with a 1⁄8" border. Slip a 3 5⁄8"x1 1⁄4" piece of black & white dots between the yellow dots and red mat.
  2. Cut a 3⁄8"x12" red strip and a 1⁄2"x12" black with white dots strip and glue to left of the blue stripe paper 1⁄2" apart. Cut two 2" yellow dot squares and one 3" blue gingham square. Mat each on red then black with 1⁄16" borders.
  3. Trace the patterns onto tracing paper, then place on back of patterned paper with a piece of transfer paper between them and retrace the pattern. Cut out the shapes and mat each on black with a narrow border. Add penwork with black ink. Shade blue starfish with purple chalk and edges of the yellow starfish with brown chalk. Attach to page as shown, using foam tape on the shovel for dimension.
  4. Computer journal on ivory paper and detail with chalk and black penwork. Triple-mat on blue with a 1⁄16" border, red with a 1⁄8" border and black with a 1⁄32" border.
