A rolled frame is a fabulous way to highlight a special photo on your layout. Try it with patterned paper or vellum for an extra-special touch. Reprinted from Making Fabulous Scrapbook Pages.

To make the frame:
- Cut two papers to identical sizes and glue the papers back-to-back.
The size of your frame is largely up to you and your photo—the
bigger the photo's focal point, the larger your papers will be. Don't
forget, you can make rectangles, as Lisa did below, or a square shape.
For her layouts, Lisa cut two 5 7/8"x 8 3/4"
rectangles of green tiles and green stripes.
- Using a ruler and X-acto® knife, cut two diagonal lines (making
an "X") which end 1/2"-1" before the paper corners.
Then lift each cut and roll it (rather than fold it) back. A glue dot,
brad or eyelet is strong enough to keep the roll in place. Glue your
matted photo to the back of the frame. T o keep the frame from flattening,
cut a 2" x11" piece of paper, tightly roll it up and then glue it under
the rolled section, close to the photo.
- Place your rolled frame over your photo, position the photo's focal
point, and glue.
