A good book or an engrossing movie…I can’t think of a better way to spend an evening or weekend. Now I have a great new way to keep track of favorite films and must-read books for the next time I hit my local bookstore or video rental. It’s also a nice way to keep track of books I’ve borrowed or loaned out, or movie reviews I read in the paper.

(This book would make a great gift idea for the book-lover or movie-watcher you know!)

Instructions:

Make a ball with a piece of paper towel and use it to apply Lettuce alcohol ink directly onto the binder by rubbing the color along the spine and back cover. Apply ink to the front cover, only inking about 1” in from the edge on all four sides.

Cut a 7”x4 5/8” piece of green tapestry paper. Cut a 3 1/4”x4 5/8” piece of scuffed green. Glue the scuffed paper to the bottom portion of the tapestry paper. Use Glue Dots™ to adhere a 5 1/2”-long piece of grosgrain ribbon to cover the seam between the two papers, wrapping the ends around and securing them on the backside of the paper with tape. Glue to the front cover of the binder.

Apply Peeled Paint ink directly onto a large slide mount. Cut three 2”-long pieces of grosgrain ribbon. Wrap each one around the right side of the slide mount, punch a hole through the middle and secure with a brad. Trim the tails at an angle. Computer journal “Books & Movies” on white paper and skim with Old Paper ink. Glue slide mount to frame the journaling and trim excess paper.
