Ali Moll’s
new favorite hobby is photography—a perfect fit with her passion
for scrapbooking. With her Pentax SLR, Ali has been taking photos non-stop,
giving her tons of pictures to scrapbook—a hobby she started at
a young age.
"I have been scrapbooking since I was about ten years old, with construction
papers and rubber cement. About 8 years ago I attended a Creative Memories
party and learned the “safe” way to scrapbook. I’ve
been hooked ever since.”
These photos capture the wonderful memories that Ali shares with her
family—her motivation for scrapbooking. Ali and husband Carl live
in Bountiful, Utah with their two children and pets. By profession, Ali
works as an accountant for an advertising firm and frequently trades creative
advice with the designers at her firm. “It’s fun to look at
their print work through the eyes of a scrapbooker,” she says.
Tyson and Madison, Ali’s children are extremely involved in competitive
sports, giving her lots of photo opportunities and layout ideas. For additional
ideas, though, Ali frequently reads through scrapbook magazines, surfs
scrapbook websites and examines her everyday surroundings.
The constant change and innovation of the industry is also exciting and
motivating to Ali. “There are so many new and exciting ideas and
products that it’s hard to keep up with it all—scrapbooking
can be simple or complex, depending on your own personal style. I like
to put a bit of myself into every layout and project that I complete.”
This months Ali shares a family layout with us. The layout is titled
My Parents, My Friends.
