Thinking of You
By LeNae Gerig

Chic, simple papers are jazzed up on this card with unique folded flowers! LeNae added tons of interest to the front of this sweet card by cropping the card front and adding a series of Iris Fold-It Swirls down the edge. She attached coordinating artwork tiles with foam tape and accented the flowers with brads and ribbon and extra texture and dimension.

Supplies:

Instructions:
For the Card Front:

  1. Place the card with the fold on the left, then cut 1 1/2" off the right side of the card front. Cover the remaining card front with blue stripes paper with the stripes running horizontally. Ink the edges black.
  2. Punch three iris Fold-It Swirls out of purple floral paper and two out of dark blue textured paper and fold each into shape. Cluster three brocade mini brads in the center of each of the dark blue textured irises, then glue all the folded iris shapes down the right edge of the card, alternating colors with every other iris. Knot three 2 1/2" lengths of navy grosgrain ribbon and trim the tails of each at an angle. Use Glue Dots™ to secure one knot in the center of each of the purple floral irises.
  3. Cut out the “smile” tile and ink the edges. Use foam tape to secure the tile in the bottom left corner of the card front.

For the Card Inside:

  1. Cut a 2 1/8" wide strip of light blue mesh paper and glue even with the right edge of the inside of the card. Trim the excess paper even with the top and bottom edges of the card and ink the edges of the mesh paper black. Cut a 3/8" wide strip of blue stripes paper with the stripes running horizontally and ink the edges. Glue the strip 3/8" from the right edge of the card, trimming the excess even with the top and bottom edges.
  2. Cut out the dark blue with blue stripes tag and glue at an angle over the top left edge of the mesh paper. Cut out the “thinking of you” tile and ink the edges, then use foam tape to secure it over the tag. Knot a 2 1/2" length of navy grosgrain ribbon, trim the tails at an angle and use a Glue Dot™ to attach the knot to the top of the tag.
